Leek extend lead at top of Division 2 with convincing derby win
Only a handful of games survived the stormy weather


Leek Rugby Club now lead Midlands Division 2 West North by seven points thanks to a comfortable win over their league rivals.
The visitors produced some fine rugby to hand Longton a 22-7 defeat – their 14th victory of the season.
Stafford did their fellow county side a favour by beating title-chasing Walsall 22-20 in a back-and-forth encounter.
Their loss allowed Leek to open up some breathing space with six games of the season remaining.
Meanwhile, in the Premier Division, Burton sit eighth after a 34-7 victory away at Doncaster Phoenix.
In Division 5 West South, Cannock went down 14-19 to Birmingham & Solihull but remain second.
Stone narrowly lost to Greyhound 23-22 as they occupy sixth while St Leonards lost 5-0 at home Keresley to stay eighth.
All other matches involving Staffordshire clubs were called off due to Storm Eunice.
