Kidsgrove Athletic produce late comeback, Hunter nets Rocester hat-trick

Kidsgrove Athletic scored twice in the dying embers of their match with Mossley to earn a 3-3 draw on Saturday.

Max McCarthy netted the equaliser on 89 minutes for the visitors after Callum Leigh had converted six minutes earlier.

Kingsley Adu-Gyamfi had opened the scoring for Kidsgrove on 10 minutes, just seconds before Mossley found the net themselves.

Kidsgrove sit fourth from bottom in the Northern Premier League West Division.

Leek Town remain fourth after a 4-1 victory over Kendal Town. Oli Harrison netted twice for the visitors in the first-half before Louis Keenan grabbed a third on 77 minutes.

Tommy van der Laan earned Newcastle Town a 1-1 draw with Ramsbottom United thanks to his 36th-minute strike.

In the Premier Division, Alex Fletcher netted a 93rd-minute equaliser to cancel out Gainsborough Trinity’s strike three minutes earlier in Stafford Rangers‘ 1-1 draw.

An own goal, a Ryan Shaw effort and a Jack Langston penalty saw Chasetown win 3-2 against Corby Town in the Midlands Division. They stay third, just a point behind leaders Ilkeston and Halesowen having played a game more.

Tamworth are four points off relegation in the Southern League Central Premier Division following a 4-0 loss to Rushall Olympic.

Meanwhile, Hednesford Town earned a 2-1 victory over Hitchin Town. Two goals in two minutes from Reece Flanagan and West Atkinson just past the hour mark saw them to the three points.



Rocester earn convincing win

Jayden Hunter scored a hat-trick to help Rocester defeat winless bottom club St Martins in the North West Counties Football League First Division South.

He completed his treble after just 55 minutes with Dale Boot grabbing the final strike.

Rocester remain six points from safety in the bottom three, with Eccleshall just three points above the drop zone following a 1-0 loss to Abbey Hey.

Daniel Cope grabbed a brace as Jamie Turner and Kieran Lazenby found the net in Abbey Hulton United‘s 4-1 win over Alsager.

Meanwhile, Brocton earned a goalless draw against Maine Road as Stafford Town suffered a 6-0 defeat to Wythenshawe Amateurs.

Stone Old Alleynians defeated Haughmond 3-0 on their own patch in the Midland Football League Premier Divison.

Ryan Goodwin, Dave Ablewhite and Jack Tomlinson all got second-half goals.

Runaway leaders Hanley Town and second-placed Lichfield City were held to goalless draws with Tividale and Walsall Wood.

Uttoxeter Town made it two wins in two with a 2-0 victory over Racing Club Warwick.

In Division 1, Stapenhill maintained their second spot position with a 3-1 win against Wolverhampton Sporting Community to make it three wins in as many games.

Division rivals Heath Hayes beat Coventry Copsewood 2-1.

Coton Green beat Boldmere Falcons 4-2 in Division 2. Meanwhile, Bolehall Swifts claimed a rare win by defeating Barnt Green Spartak 2-1.
