Lichfield run in a massive 95 points, Stoke tally huge 81 points

Lichfield Rugby Club and Stoke Rugby Club both handed out humiliations to their Midlands Division 1 West opponents on Saturday.

Lichfield ran over a whopping 95 points against Droitwich, who only managed to grab seven points in response.

Meanwhile, Stoke hammered in 81 points without reply at home to Worcester to move up to second.

Lichfield stay top by eight points having recorded 632 points in the 15 league games they have played this season.

Stoke have tallied 552 themselves in the same number of fixtures.

The two teams are set to face each other on April 2 in what surely will be a massive title-swaying game.

Burton let a 19-3 lead slip to narrowly lose 27-26 to Bridgnorth in the Premier Division.

Tommie Collingwood, Chaz Bunting and Alex Nesbitt scored tries prior to Kieran Jackson being sent to the sin bin and James Davies going off injured.

Their 16-point lead evaporated as the visitors ran in 19 unanswered points of their own before Davies came back on to retake the lead for Burton with a try.

But Bridgnorth pipped the Battlstead Croft outfit late in the game to see them go four games without a win.
